Meet Kes

Hello, I'm Kes.

I knew how to read Tarot cards as soon as I first saw them. I read them first for myself and then for others. I read them in the same way that I read clouds, the features of the Earth and many other divine patterns and energy-flows in reality - with strong, inherent intuition. I think everyone has this potential, and I'm simply privileged to have experienced circumstances that would lead to the further development of this skill.

Let's be clear - spiritual awakening is as excruciatingly painful and savage, as it is beautiful, blissful and easy. When you feel you have nothing, nature talks, spirits guide, and the spiritual heart within you may awaken. The suffering cracks you open.

Reading Tarot and learning magical ways wasn't a luxury for me, it was a way to heal and find my direction in life. I truly needed the gifts of spiritual insight and they came to me. I have reached a foundation of inner thriving through the psychic abilities I have developed. I am trained in working to support others on journeys of spiritual awakening too - not just by my own experience, but also through training as a spiritual life coach and working with teachers and community on the path.

I am able to accompany you on your innermost journey of contacting your Soul. Spiritual coaching with the Tarot is about trusting and empowering your intuition. All that you ever need to know is within you. I'm not like typical card readers, I don't perform for you. I guide you to unlock your own inner knowledge and reflect back to you my insights - in our work together, you become your own spiritual master.

I work in what many of my clients and colleagues are calling “in the light” i.e. every session is prayerful, meditative and unconditionally loving, accepting and compassionate. I do not exclude shadow aspects of the soul from my reading - I hold a sacred space for all the difficulties, pain and challenges that you may be experiencing to be encountered and held with gentleness, non-judgement and empathy. I trust it is the conditions of authenticity, kindness, and compassion that I hold in my work, that provide the basis for why people choose ongoing work with me.

Musings on Tarot, Psychology and Spirituality

Many people are afraid of the Tarot, and other forms of divination because of the messages they might find therein, for the Tarot are windows into the mysterious and wild unconscious after all. It was Sigmund Freud who made the theory of the unconscious mind widely famous. He discovered that his medical patients physical ailments improved through talking about their lives, and he related this to releasing suppressed psychic energy from their unconscious minds. Freud became known as the father of modern psychoanalysis. Freud believed that the unconscious mind is where we repress our desires, and anything about us deemed socially unacceptable. His rebel student Carl Jung expanded the theory further, in his studies of how the unconscious mind is also a bridge to spiritual and mystical experiences, and a greater collective reality. The unconscious mind is also a concept that has been interpreted by various myths of ancient cultures and practically explored by many shamans, thinkers and h...

Heart and Soul Poetics: Reflections on the Alchemical Inner Journey, and Moving to Glastonbury

I'm so delighted to be moving to Glastonbury. Born in Staffordshire, and after living and travelling in London, Brighton, Suffolk and abroad - I now feel like I am returning to an even deeper sense of home, in myself, and in my favourite place on Earth. The Glastonbury  Tercentennial  Labyrinth,  in the churchyard of St John the Baptist I feel this way, so sure of my home and my direction, essentially because it was my inner voice that guided me to this point. In a time of great change a strong song broke out of my heart and called me to Glastonbury. I knew it was my soul speaking to me. I had known the message was there for years, but it was only through sitting and listening deeply that I finally accepted the call.  This spiral inward journey of the heart is like walking the labyrinth, or as the psychologist  Carl Jung put it,  'circumabulating the Self'. Our sensitive and feeling hearts seem to spiral around our souls, perhaps in order ...
